Weekend Schedule:

Investment 

• Tuition: $2800 (After June 30, 2022) 

• Early Bird pricing: $2500 (paid in full prior to June 30, 2022)

• It is not required to pay tuition in full. Nirvana is offering a pay-by-the-weekend option for the 2022 yoga training. The cost is $260 per weekend. 

• Deposit due with the application: $500 (This amount is deducted from the total tuition cost) 

• Meditation Retreat: $500 (Due September 1, 2022) 

• Books and supplies: Estimated $150 (most of the texts can be found at low prices if you don't mind a used copy/a yoga mat and bolster are recommended)

 

Training Staff
The director of the training is Leigh Anne Neal, E-RYT 500/YACEP. Most weekend content will be with her teaching. Ian Boccio will be appearing as a training guest star with a lesson in Sanskrit and chanting. We look forward to working with you!

Requirements

The following is a list of what is expected of you BEFORE the training begins:

• Completed application 

• $500 deposit

• Two completed essays before August 12, 2022

• Regular yoga practice (at least 2-3 classes weekly or an equivalent home practice)

• Attend classes with Leigh Anne at Nirvana Yoga Studios (minimum of 3) 

• Interview with Leigh Anne before the training begins

• An intense curiosity and passion for yoga

 

The following is a list of what will be expected of you DURING teacher training:

• Regular attendance of all training sessions 

• Sobriety and vegetarian diet during all training weekends

• A willingness to explore a more healthy way of life

• Arrive early for all training sessions

• 2 classes weekly at Nirvana Yoga Studios (classes included in tuition price)

• 8 Homework Assignments

• Seva (community service)

• Monthly meeting with Nirvana Yoga Mentor (in-person or virtual) 

• Discipline, zest, courage, open hearts and minds, and a burning desire to learn

Books for Essay: (This is part of the requirements to enter the course, but not part of the application process)

Due on or before August 12, 2022

1. The Tree of Yoga by BKS Iyengar

2. Miracle of Mindfulness by Thich Nhat Hanh
    

Read these books for the completion of two essays.  The topic can be of your choosing.  Maybe an overview of the entire book or perhaps one or two things that stood out.  Each essay should be 500 words or more.  Turn in no later than August 12, 2022 (the earlier the better!).
